The Gospel of Johnਨਮੂਨਾ

Jesus is the way.
In John 14, Jesus speaks words of deep comfort to His disciples. He knows their hearts are troubled as He prepares them for His departure, so He says, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me” (John 14:1). He assures them—and us—that though He will go away, He will not leave us alone. The Holy Spirit will come to be with us and in us.
In John 14:6, Jesus boldly declares, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This isn’t just a theological truth—it’s an anchor for your soul. When life feels unstable, when emotions swirl and circumstances confuse, Jesus invites us to hold onto Him.
I’ve had seasons where my heart feels like it’s been hijacked by frustration, bitterness, or discontent. Other times, jealousy, pride, anxiety, or fear seem to take root—sometimes without warning or clear cause. It’s a strange and unsettling feeling when your emotions drift without direction, like a boat untied from the dock.
That’s why John 14 is such a gift. Jesus reminds us that He doesn’t just show the way—He is the way. He doesn’t just speak the truth—He is the truth. He doesn’t just offer life—He is life. His presence through the Holy Spirit gives us stability when everything inside feels unsteady.
Your emotions are real, but they don’t have to rule you. The Holy Spirit helps us recognize what’s happening in our hearts and gently leads us back to Jesus. He ties us securely to the dock when life’s waves threaten to pull us away.
If your heart feels troubled today, let Jesus’ words remind you that you’re not alone, not forgotten, and not lost. He is with you. And His peace is stronger than any storm within or around you.
Respond to God’s Word:
Write out John 14:6—“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Place it somewhere visible (on your mirror, phone, or desk) and let it anchor your heart today. When emotions rise, read it aloud and remind yourself that Jesus is your sure foundation.
