Devotional:

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth… And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.’” — Revelation 21:1–3 (NIV)

At the end of the Bible, we are given a glimpse of the ultimate hope for every believer: renewal. A new heaven. A new earth. A place where God Himself will dwell among His people forever.

These verses offer more than a vision of the future—they anchor our hearts in present hope. Life here is often marked by sorrow, struggle, and brokenness. But God promises that one day, all things will be made new. Not patched up or temporarily fixed, but new. Sin, death, pain, and distance from God will be no more.

The most beautiful part of this promise is God’s presence: “He will dwell with them.” This is not just about heaven being a beautiful place—it’s about being with the One our souls were made for. Heaven is not merely our destination; it is our restoration.

In your moments of discouragement or weariness, remember this promise. God is preparing something far greater than we can imagine. And the best part is that even now He dwells with us through the presence of the Holy Spirit which is with us, offering peace and strength until that day comes.

Are you feeling burdened by the brokenness of this world? Take time to rest in the promise of God’s coming renewal. Ask for His presence to fill your life now as you wait for the fullness of what’s to come. Ask how you can be a part of carrying God’s presence into a world that desperately needs it today.
