In part one of this devotional, we laid the ground work for why your son needs a Godly man’s influence in his life and how to get one if you don’t currently have one.

In this continuation we will be discussing what types of things a Godly man will teach your son.

First and foremost a Godly man will teach your son about God. This will reinforce what you have been teaching him, and also provide lessons about God from a different perspective. The bonus here is that your son will now be learning about God from a perspective that most likely comes more natural for him to relate to.

The Bible is littered with instruction for Fathers to teach their kids the ways of God. And although the Godly man in your son’s life may or may not be a father figure, they definitely qualify as a Spiritual father, and thus the same instructions apply.

What we understand about God is critical to our well-being, our growth, and our outlook on life. So having a male figure to look up to and guide your son in this regard is highly important.
