A Child's Guide To: Being Followers of Jesusਨਮੂਨਾ

A Life of Love
If the people of this world hate you, just remember that they hated me first.
John 15:18 (CEV)
Jesus said people hated him. How could that be? Jesus was so good! He was God’s Son, and he never did anything wrong. He helped people. So why would people hate him?
Sadly, people hated him because he was good; he always obeyed God. Some people decided they didn’t want to obey God. They wanted to be selfish and did what they wanted. And they didn’t want to be told they were doing wrong things.
Jesus knew that was why people hated him. But he chose God, rather than doing the wrong things just so people would like him.
If we follow Jesus, some people won’t like us either. But living to please God is always the best choice. Your life will be filled with God’s love. Doing what’s right may cause some people to stop being your friend, but God will never leave you. He will protect you and help you, and some day you will go to heaven to be with him.
