Jesus Is the Final Wordਨਮੂਨਾ

The WORD In The Grave
Words are the building blocks of relationships.
“Hello.”
“You too?”
“I love you.”
Words reflect relationships. The words we speak to each other reflect the level of trust we have.
Jesus calls us His sheep. We call Him our shepherd.
But on that day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, the Word was silent.
Jesus was crucified on the day of Preparation, the day before the Sabbath, when all activities must stop. His friends and followers had to prepare His body for burial quickly, laying Him in the garden tomb before sundown. The Gospel of John is silent about anything happening on that Saturday.
Jesus was dead and buried. The Word of life was in the silent grave.
This Saturday was one of those “between” days. The Resurrection did not happen instantly. Time passed between the Cross and the empty tomb. This was a day of fear, of questioning, of doubt, of despair and grief for all of Jesus’ disciples.
So often, these “between” days lead us to believe God has stopped working; that He’s stopped caring or stopped loving us.
But He was not idle on this “between” day. He was at work taking back the keys of Death and Hades (Revelation 1:18).
The Word seemed silent to us, but He was on the move.
Reflection Question
In what areas of your life do you feel like you're in a "between" season - where God seems silent but may actually be working behind the scenes? How can you maintain faith and trust during these times?
