On long road trips, there are usually two kinds of people: those who stop for breaks and those who push through the whole way. If you’re in the back seat, it can sometimes feel awkward to ask for a break. But in life, taking breaks isn’t just okay—it’s necessary.
Even Jesus took time to rest, and He encouraged His followers to do the same. When they were so busy that they didn’t even have time to eat, Jesus made space for them to slow down. If Jesus—literally God—valued rest, we can know it’s not a sign of weakness but something essential for all of us.
This week, follow Jesus’ example. Set aside at least one hour to do something you love. Let it be a time to pause, recharge, and find rest.
