40-Day Worship Experience Youth Devotionalਨਮੂਨਾ

Imagine pouring water into a cup until it’s full to the brim, then walking quickly across a room. What would happen to the water? It would spill out with every step, of course.
That’s what happens when you are filled with God’s love. It overflows from your life. It spills out on other people with every step you take. God’s love is not meant to be locked up in your heart. It’s designed to be shared with others.
As we continue to explore the simple prayer “Jesus, I love You” and the related prayer, “Jesus, help me love as You do,” picture yourself as a cup being filled with God’s love. He has a daily goal for you: to spread His love to other people.
You don’t have to do this on your own, though. As you draw close to Him and receive from Him, His love fills you up. You don’t have to force yourself to love people. It comes naturally.
Sometimes you’ll need to let God remove things like fear, greed, pride, jealousy, or anger that might be blocking the flow of love. Let Him replace them with surrender, trust, faith, thanksgiving, and humility.
Your natural state is to have love flowing through you. If you find it difficult to act in love, surrender yourself to God again. Pray, “Jesus, please remove whatever is blocking the flow of Your love. Help me love as You do.” See yourself as a channel of God’s heart: someone who is worthy of love, capable of love, and called to love.
Reflect
How full are you of God’s love? Is it spilling out on others? Is there anything blocking the flow of God’s love through you? How could you remove any obstacles?

About this Plan

Welcome to the 40-Day Worship Experience Youth Devotional! This is a time each morning to experience God’s presence for yourself. First, find a quiet space to be alone with Jesus for fifteen minutes before you start your day. All you need is your Bible, worship music, and a place to write down any ideas that come to you. Then, use the devotional readings, Bible verses, and reflection questions as a starting point to spend a few minutes with God. As you do, I believe you’ll build an exciting relationship that will transform every area of your life.
