Strength for Tomorrowਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 11: Elijah – Strength for the Weary
Scripture: 1 Kings 19:1-8
Key Verse: “The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.’” – 1 Kings 19:7
Elijah had just experienced a great victory over the prophets of Baal, but now he was running for his life. Exhausted and discouraged, he collapsed under a tree and prayed to die. But instead of rebuking him, God met him in his weakness.
God provided food, rest, and gentle encouragement, reminding Elijah he wasn’t alone. His strength was renewed, and he continued in his calling.
Sometimes, we need to rest and let God strengthen us most. He doesn’t expect us to run on empty. When we bring our exhaustion to Him, He replenishes us for the journey ahead.
Prayer Focus: Ask God to restore your strength when you feel weary and to remind you that you are never alone.

About this Plan

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.
