Fast 40: Practicing the Ancient Spiritual Discipline of Lentਨਮੂਨਾ

Diabolism is real. The Devil is real. Demons are real. And we forget that temptation can sometimes become animated. Temptation can become influenced. Demons watch us, see how we live, and know our weaknesses, and they will sometimes work through our environment to cause us to sin.
Now, temptation itself is not sinful. In fact, nothing in itself is sinful. God created all things, and all things are good; but we sin when we take good things and use them for evil purposes—when we use them in a way they were not meant to be used.
For Christ, there was nothing wrong with food, but there was something wrong with eating food on a fast. It was the right thing at the wrong time, and the right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing. But how do we know the difference? How do we figure out how to live righteously? Jesus tells us the answer: the Word of God.
