Fast 40: Practicing the Ancient Spiritual Discipline of Lentਨਮੂਨਾ

Shoes help us walk. They provide stability, grip, and protection. The Christian life is a journey, and we must walk in the right footwear.
Paul tells us that our shoes are the “readiness given by the gospel of peace.” What does that mean? It means the gospel prepares us—it makes us ready to move, to stand firm, and to bring peace wherever we go.
But notice: it is not just peace but the gospel of peace. The world offers a false peace—a peace built on compromise, human approval, or conflict avoidance. But the gospel offers true peace—a peace built on Christ, on reconciliation with God, and on victory over sin and death.
Isaiah 52:7 says, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’”
Are your feet ready? Are you equipped to walk in the gospel of peace? Or are you stumbling through life, unsure of where you stand? The enemy wants you off balance. He wants you unprepared. But when you stand in the gospel, you stand firm.
Put on your shoes. Walk in peace. Carry the good news wherever you go.
