Someone Else's Worldਨਮੂਨਾ

"And lead us not into temptation..." Matthew 6:13 ESV
We live in ongoing temptation. Jesus addresses this head-on in verse 1,3, asking God to help us navigate this earthly kingdom we are in.
Father, don't allow me to yield to temptation, even though it is ongoing. This part of the Lord's prayer requires humility and a denunciation of one's leadership. We are not and should not be the Kings of our kingdoms. When we are, we fall into temptation.
Martin Luther said, “You cannot keep birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair."
Temptations will come, but Christ tells us to petition for His will and strength to walk the narrow way.
A good teacher leads us through testing to show us what we know, don't know, and need to know.
It can reveal:
What is the theory about our faith?
What is true about our faith?
What is owned about our faith?
We don't learn what we own about our faith until we get tested.
THINK ABOUT IT:
1. Do you own your faith? Even the testing of your faith?
PRAYER PROMPT:
Father, lead me not into temptation and help me endure the trials.

About this Plan

What if we traded our little worlds for the Eternal Kingdom, now and to come? Walk with us, line by line, through the Lord's Prayer as we begin to release our grip on how we think we should live and embrace how Jesus wants us to live.
