A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS

To understand a relationship with Jesus, we must first understand that Jesus is CLOSE to us. Your image of God may be of a cloud up in the sky or a religious statue, but that’s not who he is. Through believing in Jesus, we can have a relationship with him — a close, intimate relationship.

Think less of Jesus like a religious figure, and more as a friend. It might sound crazy, but through believing in Jesus, we have access to his presence in our everyday lives. This means that even though Jesus is not physically walking with you into your school, his presence can go with you into your school.

Like any good friendship, your relationship with Jesus will grow as you invest time into it. Spend time with Jesus! Two of the best ways to do that are through reading the Bible and praying (more on that in days 5 and 6).

Our goal as Christians should be to get closer to Jesus and become more like Jesus, each and every day.
