Lent: The Journey of Letting Goਨਮੂਨਾ

Week 3: The Cost of Love and Faith
Theme: Living in God’s Kingdom means embracing a love and faith that often defy our expectations, inviting us to sacrifice, trust, and grow in humility.
Focus Scripture: Mark 8:34-35 – “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
Connect: Have you ever looked back and realized you ignored advice that could have saved you a lot of trouble? Listening can be hard, but it’s so important—especially when God is speaking.
Engage: In Jeremiah 7, God reminds His people that He only ever wanted their hearts and obedience. But they kept turning away, choosing their own paths instead of His. God’s Kingdom calls us to listen and trust Him, even when it feels easier to do things our own way. Obedience might not always make sense at first, but it’s how we experience the life God has for us.
Apply: Is there something God has been asking you to do that you’ve been putting off? Take a step today to listen and follow His voice. Pray for the strength to trust Him, even when it’s hard.

About this Plan

Lent begins with a call to release control and embrace surrender. By letting go of the burdens we carry, we create space for God’s grace to bring renewal and transformation. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
