Like the World Has Never Seenਨਮੂਨਾ

Every Promise
In 1 Kings, God performs signs and wonders, miracle upon miracle, through the prophet Elijah. Despite all these things, in chapter 19, we find Elijah fleeing for his life from Jezebel —isolated, lost, and despondent. It is a stark contrast. His faith in God and the mission is rocked. The song 'Every Promise' was inspired by this story. In the cave, in a position of despair and fear, God encounters Elijah not with spectacle, might, or wonder but in the stillness of a “gentle whisper” (1 Kings 19:12 NLT).
In this place, God reminds Elijah of His commission and says, “Go back the same way you came” (1 Kings 19:15 (NLT). Maybe you’ve been a Christian for a time; you’ve seen God do the amazing things in your life, but in this present moment, you find yourself weary about life, discouraged, or feeling alone. Let me encourage you today that God sees you, He hears you and He wants to remind you that the way forward hasn’t changed … like Elijah, go back the same way you came. The way forward starts and ends with following Jesus Christ. He is our living hope.
