Amazed by His Authority Over Nature
The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” Matthew 8:27 (NIV).
The disciples were astonished when Jesus calmed the storm with a word. His authority over nature revealed His divinity and power. Just as He calmed the wind and waves, he is able to calm the storms in our lives. When we trust him, we can experience his peace even in the midst of chaos. What storms in your life can you entrust to Jesus today, believing in His power to bring peace?
Prayer: Father God, Thank you for Jesus, who calms the storms in my life. Help me to trust you in every situation, knowing that you are in control. Speak peace into my heart and remind me of your power. In Jesus name, Amen.
