Five Simple Steps for an Extraordinary New Yearਨਮੂਨਾ

Listen for the Answer
Asking for help is only the first part of the equation for having an exceptional year. It is also essential that we listen for the answer. We sometimes think that God isn't answering, but in reality, it may be that we are not listening. We could be asking so loudly that it is hard to hear any answers, or it could just be that we don't know how to listen well. Another issue for many of us is that the answer may come but not be what we expected or wanted, and thus, it is tough for us to "hear" it. Jesus said in John 7:37, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink."
The import of these words is not only that Jesus is the source of what we need but that it is on us to receive from Him what He offers us. So often, we have needs, questions, or uncertainty in life, but we never take that to Jesus. At times, we may actually go to the wrong sources for our counsel and help. And even when we go to Jesus with our needs and questions, we may not drink; that is, we may not receive what He gives us. In other words, we may not be obedient to what He says.
Sometimes, what the Lord gives as His counsel and instruction is not what we expect, hope for, or even want to hear. Being obedient to God's voice is not always easy, but it is always best. For a great 2025, we must not only continually ask and seek after God's way but be willing to hear and obey.
