Journey With Jesus 365ਨਮੂਨਾ

The disciples were confused by a case that they were unable to solve. They saw demons cast out by the power of His Name. But in this case, it didn’t work, and they were perplexed, including the father of the child and the people. Jesus’ disciples inquired of Him why they were unsuccessful with this case. To which he responded: “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.” Jesus had also said to the father of the child: “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” The Bible says without faith, it is impossible to please him. We must have faith. We will face some tribulations, though, that will require earnest prayer and fasting. When stubborn obstacles persist, may we be willing to persevere in prayer and fasting until God breaks through! Fasting is when a person goes without eating for the purpose of focusing on their relationship with God. When the feeling of hunger comes, the person will allow that to remind them to pray and increase their dependence on the Lord.
Have you ever fasted before? Is there some area of your life that seems impossible, where a season of prayer and fasting may be necessary for a breakthrough?
