Jesus passed by the Pool of Bethesda and found a man who had been lying near the pool for 38 years. This man could not walk, so he could not enter the water to receive the miracle of healing from the pool. Jesus spoke to him and gave him the ability to walk. He gave him the hope and healing that he needed, not only physically, but also spiritually. Jesus received criticism from the religious leaders for healing on the Sabbath, breaking their man-made rule. But Jesus did not concern himself with the opinions of others; His purpose was to reach the hearts of people and show them who he was.

Sometimes we become so busy with all the things we think we need to do, that we often miss opportunities to help people God has placed in our path.
