Calming the Storm
"Who is this man?" The experienced sailors and fisherman on the boat were panicked by the storm on the lake, let alone the other disciples. Jesus is woken by them and calms the storm. Imagine being there and seeing that. They were terrified and amazed. What other response is there?
For me there’s a lesson here not to take Jesus lightly. He is God, the creator, awesome, powerful, mighty, everlasting. Yes, He is our friend, and we should never forget that He is God and all that this means. We should always be in awe.
We should also be thankful and in wonder that He loved us so much that He came and gave His life for us so that we can be in eternal relationship with Him.
Who is this man? He is God almighty, creator, savior, redeemer and friend.
