Advent Music: Every Day a Bible Song Towards Christmasਨਮੂਨਾ

Arise

This is one of my favorite Isaiah chapters and songs. There's so much powerful stuff in here, it's overwhelming! I'm gonna let the Bible do the talking for me:

'Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.' (Isaiah 60:2, NLT)

‘Look and see, for everyone is coming home! Your sons are coming from distant lands; your little daughters will be carried home. Your eyes will shine, and your heart will thrill with joy..’ (Isaiah 60:4-5, NLT)

'Salvation will surround you like city walls, and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there.' (Isaiah 60:18, NLT)

Right?! I'm jumping up and down when I read this! Isn't that amazing?! This is not just about Jerusalem, it's about YOU!

If you've accepted Jesus as your Saviour, 'then salvation will surround you like city walls' and praise is on the lips of all who enter that salvation. And how could it not be? When the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you?! You've been made a brand new creation!

How can you sit still? It's time to arise and shine! Let the darkness of the nations SEE that light! Note, it doesn't say HEAR that light.

It's time to show it! We owe it to the world around us to be the blessing of Jesus, the Kingdom is here, NOW! Arise and SHINE!! 🔥🙌

Isaiah 60 - Arise

19. No longer will you need the sun to shine by day
nor the moon to give its light by night
for the Lord your God will be your everlasting light.

20. Your sun will never set;
your moon will not go down.
For the Lord will be your everlasting light.
Your days of mourning will come to an end.

1. Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see.
For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.

2. The glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.

18. Salvation will surround you like city walls,
and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there.

4. Look and see, for everyone is coming home!
