Role Model
In the twenty-first century world of entertainment, one easy-to-produce type of program has grabbed lots of attention and revenue: reality television. These unscripted shows focus on everything from friendships and family dynamics to finding a job or even a spouse. Cameras follow the subjects of these shows everywhere they go, recording conversations, emotional outbursts, social activities, and even intimate encounters.
In today’s scripture, we are reminded that even though we are not on camera or wearing microphones, we are actually the “stars” of our own reality shows. Our words and actions are important, as younger women are watching what we do and listening to what we say. As Titus 2:3–5 says, the very way we live our lives can be a living example of what it means to be a woman of faith.
Prayer
God, please help me to remain pure in my heart and bless my words and actions so that I can serve as a holy witness to You. Amen.
Exercise
Close your eyes and imagine the most godly woman you know. What is she like? How can you be more like her?
