As Paul stressed the value of unity at the beginning of the chapter, he now distinguished that unity does not equal uniformity. By providing a list of spiritual giftings, Paul demonstrated how the body of Christ is the most unified through its diversity of people. Each person in the church can use his/her unique gift to serve, love, and build up the church.

Have you considered your spiritual gift(s)? Believers should pray and study what God says about gifts in His Word because God will reveal the gift(s) He has given you through His Holy Spirit. We should also remember that God may use other believers to affirm our gift(s).
