Acts 2:14-41 | God's Rescue Missionਨਮੂਨਾ

Chapter 2 is the climax of Acts. Today we look at Acts 2:14-41. It’s the second of three plans on Acts 2. You can call these three sections the what, the why, and the now what. What happened? Why did it happen? And what happens now that it’s happened?
Our previous plan focused on Acts 2:1-13. God’s Spirit comes out of heaven and onto his people. The Spirit empowers them, enables them, and energizes them to proclaim the good news in a way the people understand. Some respond. Some sneer. But either way, it does something. When God speaks, people notice. As Albert Moehler writes, their witness is dramatic, universal, and polarizing.
In today’s passage, Peter starts explaining to a bewildered crowd what is happening, and why it is happening.
Familiarize yourself with Peter’s explanation. It is the heart and core of the Christian message. It is God’s good news of what King Jesus is up to in this world today. It is central to God’s radical rescue mission of this world.

About this Plan

Acts is a call to salvation through the work of King Jesus pouring out his Spirit. This 5-day plan continues a journey through the book of Acts, the Bible’s gripping sequel of Jesus at work in the life of his followers as he expands his kingdom to the ends of the earth. It’s a journey on what it means to be a Christian. It’s a story in which you have a role to play.
