Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVEਨਮੂਨਾ

Memorization Challenge:1 Corinthians 13:11-13
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Reading Primer: Pray this...
Holy and Sovereign God,
As we open Your Word, we ask for the guidance of Your Spirit to lead us into truth. In the psalms, show us the beauty of Your creation and the majesty of Your rule. In Deuteronomy, help us hear the weight of Your covenant and the blessings and responsibilities it brings. In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, give us hearts of generosity and grace, understanding the call to share what we have for the good of Your kingdom.
Transform our minds as we listen to Your Word, and shape our lives to reflect Your glory. May Your Spirit lead us into deeper faithfulness and obedience, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

About this Plan

This is the sixth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for 1 Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter), and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
