The Kid: An Advent Devotional for Middle Schoolersਨਮੂਨਾ

Sometimes, we forget that Jesus was once a middle schooler, too! When we think of His amazing life and ministry, it’s easy to forget He was once just a Kid. Like us, He went through awkward growth spurts, voice changes, and the challenges of growing up. Scripture tells us Jesus grew in four areas: wisdom (mentally), stature (physically), favor with God (spiritually), and favor with people (socially). This didn’t happen just because He was the Son of God. Jesus, also human, had to choose to trust in God just like we do today. His time as a Kid shows that growing up is about more than getting taller or smarter; it’s about becoming who God made us to be in all areas of life.
This week, ask a trusted adult, such as a guardian, Leader, coach, or mentor, to share how they've recently seen you grow and mature. Take time to thank God for how your life is changing and your faith is growing daily!
