Have you ever seen those random animal friendship videos? Where a dog is friends with a cat, or a raccoon is hanging out with a possum, or a horse is playing with a squirrel? Videos like that always go viral, mostly because they’re funny and cute but because there’s something special about them. There’s something cool about seeing harmony between two living things that seem so different.

As humans, you’d think harmony with others would come as easy as it does between two animals, but we know that’s not always the case. To pursue harmony, we have to humbly work at it. We have to push things like pride and comparison out of the way. We have to make an effort to choose to live in harmony with one another, but when we do, the effort is always worth it.
