Fear and Self-Preservation

Fear entered the human heart since the Garden of Eden, leading Adam and Eve to hide from God. This fear is nothing more than a form of self-preservation, an attempt to protect themselves from the consequences of their actions. From that moment on, the relationship with God was affected by disobedience and sin.

Think of an area of your life where you are afraid to expose yourself to God. Pray and ask God to help you trust Him completely.

Prayer: Lord, I recognize that I often let fear and self-preservation drive me away from You. Help me trust You more and seek Your presence, regardless of the circumstances. In Jesus' name, Amen.
