The Call to Generate Spiritual Childrenਨਮੂਨਾ

The Lesson of Onan and Our Responsibility
Returning to the story of Onan, his decision to seek pleasure without responsibility had serious consequences. He was punished for his disobedience and selfishness. In contrast, Jesus calls us to a life of service and sacrifice, generating spiritual children for the Kingdom of God.
In John 15:8, Jesus tells us that we are glorified when we bear much fruit, thus showing that we are His disciples. Spiritual fruitfulness is evidence of our connection with Christ and our commitment to His mission. We are called to be fruitful and make disciples, not just for our own edification but for the glory of God and the growth of His Kingdom.
On this final day of the devotional, reflect on the importance of generating spiritual children for Jesus. May we learn from Onan's mistake and commit to not seeking only our own pleasure but to fulfilling our call to make disciples. Generating spiritual children is a sacred responsibility and a privilege.
