Abide: Engaging the Book of Jamesਨਮੂਨਾ

CONTEMPLATE
James 4:1–17
READ. Humility is an important theme in the Book of James. Read this chapter and pay attention to the questions James posed and to any commands. Ask the Spirit to provide insight into true humility as you read.
MEDITATE. Take a few minutes to journal or verbally recap what you have learned from your reflection. In what areas has God shown you to be prideful? How will you, through God’s grace, strive to pursue meekness before God and people?
PRAY. Proverbs 4:22 says the following about the words in Scripture: “They are life to those who find them.” Give thanks to God for His Word and the revelations, convictions, or questions that emerged during your reading. Thank Him for Jesus, who is the model for our humility.
CONTEMPLATE. Linger a moment longer with your gratitude in the presence of the King.
