Fear Not at the First Christmasਨਮੂਨਾ

Joseph – The Holy Spirit is Doing Something
But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:20 (ESV).
Joseph faced a significant dilemma when he discovered Mary was pregnant. He planned to divorce her quietly, but an angel reassured him that the Holy Spirit was at work. Often, we face situations that cause us fear and confusion, but we can trust that God is working behind the scenes through His Holy Spirit. What situation in your life needs the assurance that the Holy Spirit is at work, even if you don't fully understand it?
Prayer: Father God, Thank You for the assurance that Your Holy Spirit is at work in my life. Help me to trust You even when I don't understand what is happening. Guide me and give me peace. In Jesus name, Amen.

About this Plan

Fear can loom over our lives, especially during important times. The first Christmas was no exception, as key people were told not to fear. Over four days, this devotional will look at reasons we can overcome fear using the stories of Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds. We will see how God's message to them still apply to us today.
