The Miracles of Jesusਨਮੂਨਾ

Faith’s Foundation
Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. (vv. 5-6)
Have you ever doubted the gospel stories of miracles? Start with just one. On this morning, when the women came to a tomb in a garden cemetery, they knew that Jesus was dead. Most historians think so too, affirming that Jesus really lived, and that the Romans really killed him. But Scripture tells us more than historians can. The women were not prepared for what they would actually encounter. The stone covering the tomb’s opening was rolled away. There was no body inside. They were greeted by two men in dazzling clothing—angels—who immediately challenged their assumptions.
These women faced an empty tomb, but they would soon meet a living Savior. And his disciples would be witnesses to his life, his death, and his resurrection. In his resurrection, Jesus performed the greatest miracle, in which he not only revealed his identity, but his power—a Savior who could abolish death forever, the one miracle that matters most.
“I delivered to you,” Paul told Christians in Corinth, “as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:3-4). Read, study, and discover all things that lead Christians to place their trust in Jesus. Jesus himself is at hand to help you.
As you pray, ask Jesus to reveal his life in you, so you may show that to others.

About this Plan

The miracles of Jesus are one of the best places to understand why and how God performs miracles. Jesus’s miracles are simultaneously seeds of belief, planted in our hearts to grow into a living faith, and expressions of God’s character, enacted by Jesus because he did what his Father, God, is doing. This 16-day series will take you through the miracles of Jesus found in all four gospels.
