What Is a Christian?ਨਮੂਨਾ

What Is Prayer?
It’s widely thought that Jesus was an unassuming looking person, likely with the appearance of the average first century Jew. However what people noticed most about Him was His uncanny ability to connect with God and see God move in Jesus’ life. The disciples noticed this about Jesus too, so they asked Him how to pray.
At the time, prayer was a common practice. But for those around Jesus, they saw Him pray like no other, because He prayed to God like there was a personal connection. This is the primary focus of prayer, to build a personal relationship with God. Much like the importance of talking in any relationship, prayer allows us to talk with God. Through this, we can hear from God, share our burdens with Him, and know God closely.
What’s more is, prayer unlocks a supernatural power to see God work in our lives. From breakthroughs in finances, to restoration of relationships and healing in bodies, prayer is the Christian’s not-so-secret weapon to seeing the impossible happen in their world.
When Jesus answered His disciples on how to pray, He showed that when we pray, we can see God as our Good Father who cares deeply about us and wants what’s best for us.
