Grow With God: 31 Day Devotionalਨਮੂਨਾ

GET OUT OF THE HAMSTER WHEEL
DAY TWENTY SEVEN OF THIRTY ONE
I’ve noticed many times throughout my walk with God where He would call me to rest. If I didn’t, my circumstances would force me to rest.
Take it from me, it’s better to be obedient to God’s Voice than to learn your lesson the hard way by crashing and burning. The world will tell you to hustle hard and that sleep is for the dead. “If you’re not waking up at 5 am and going to bed at midnight, you won’t be successful.”
One of the greatest tactics the devil uses is distraction. He’ll keep us in a hamster wheel going at the speed of light and we won’t even realize that we’re not making any progress that actually matters. This is why you may have wondered why you attained your goal, but you felt empty inside. Why you finally got into a relationship, but you’re very overwhelmed instead of joyful.
Doing anything outside of God is a one-way ticket to stress and defeat because you’ll never reach that dangling carrot the enemy is holding just out of reach. Go to God, and place your hope in Him. When you soar, run or walk, He will be the Mighty Force behind you renewing your strength.
Prayer: Ask God to show you anything you can cut back on if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Pray over your to-do lists and ask that He’ll highlight things that need to be postponed or removed altogether for the sake of your well-being.
