Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
How would you describe the way rest is offered in this passage? Does God come to us, or do we move toward God?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
- What kind of situations do you think prompted Jesus to speak these words?
- Why do you think Jesus pointed out the characteristics of gentleness and humility? How might these create space for rest?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
- Have you ever asked God to help you when you felt weak or distracted by uncertainty? What happened?
- Do you believe Jesus wants to give you rest from things that make you feel unsettled? What would it look like to trust God with your burdens?
- How would your life be different if you no longer felt weighed down with worry?

About this Plan

An amusement park ride can spark joy or leave you feeling scared. This can be true in life, too, so how can we learn to overcome our feelings of fear whenever we experience them? In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll look at stories from the Bible, where people trusted God in difficult moments and see how God is with us in every situation.
