Celebrating Your Baptismਨਮੂਨਾ

As we come to the end of the book of John, we are drawn to the end of the life of Jesus. This part of His life was promised in the book of Isaiah, and Jesus has been preparing His disciples for this moment. In this moment, everything He promised comes to pass. He predicted His arrest, abandonment of His disciples, betrayal by a close friend, and denial by Peter three times.
Something is comforting in the thought that while horrible things were happening, it was unsurprising to Jesus. He said that no one would take His life from Him; He was going to give it up willingly. In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus predicted that the world would worsen but that we should take heart because He would come again soon. His promises being kept means that we have hope for tomorrow.
He promised that He would be with you in the middle of your difficult circumstances. Knowing that He will be there with you, what hope does that bring in your life? Give your worries and concerns to Him because He cares about you.
