Dinner With Jesusਨਮੂਨਾ

Our spiritual life can often be considered an afterthought to everything else we have going on. We treat it like a separate category to be dealt with or a task to be checked off a list. But in this passage from Matthew, Jesus referred to a different way to see faith. When we prioritize God and all that entails—love of others, forgiveness, compassion, and justice—every other area of our lives is directly impacted. In other words, our spiritual life isn’t a separate category at all. It’s woven into everything we do—even the things we might never consider “spiritual.”
Pursue God and everything changes. No matter how busy we might feel, no matter how unimportant we might consider our faith next to more “pressing” matters, consider this passage. Seeking God and God’s kingdom isn’t extra at all, but the start of the kind of life worth living.

About this Plan

Some of our most meaningful memories revolve around sharing a meal. Food has a way of taking an ordinary gathering and making it memorable. That’s why it makes sense that some of Jesus’ most impactful conversations and encounters happened over a shared meal. Let's look at some of the meals Jesus shared with all sorts of different people and see what we might learn for our own time and context.
