Chosen - Unveiling the Woman in Christਨਮੂਨਾ

HANDPICKED FOR HIS GLORY
"Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love". - Ephesians 1:4 (AMPC)
God does not trash your past, He transforms it!
Ruth was tired.
Born into a lineage plagued by curses and worshiping a god that never forgave, Ruth felt the weight of her circumstances bearing down on her. With life dealing her family a severe hand after the loss of her husband, she chose to follow her mother-in-law, Naomi, from whom she had heard of a forgiving God.
Ruth’s story, like many women in the Bible, points to the redemption found in the revelation of Jesus. Their stories were significant, not as a result of their piety- but because they pointed to the transformation that Jesus brought through salvation.
Rahab too, tired of the status quo, turned to the God of the Israelites, leaving the seeming security of her strong-walled city. Just like these women, regardless of our beginnings, turning to God transforms our stories. He doesn't discard our past as trash, he shapes it into something beautiful.
One stigma women collectively bear is from the account of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.
As a result of Eve being deceived, the woman has been perceived as the more gullible one. However, God’s Grace was set in motion before creation. In Genesis 3:15, one of the promises of salvation is given; that the seed of the woman will bruise the head of the enemy.
This was the declaration of Jesus’ birth. God had chosen to redeem and restore us, demonstrating His trust in us through the incarnation of Jesus in Mary.
If He could trust the woman with the incarnate word, how much more the written word!
Dear Woman, know that you are handpicked and chosen for His Glory! Embrace your identity in Him as you go about your day!
