What Jesus Said About Marriage, Purity and Sexualityਨਮੂਨਾ

Marriage is a Covenant
The Bible talks about two covenants. The one covenant is between God and people. For Christians, the context is the new covenant God the Father made with us in Christ Jesus.
The second covenant is the marriage covenant. Malachi 2:14 is the most prominent Scripture reference to that covenant: But you say, 'Why does he not?' Because the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
When Paul writes about marriage, it aligns with the teachings of the Old Testament's understanding of marriage as a covenant. Marriage is a binding promise, a sacred relationship, not just a contract or agreement. In 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, Paul refers to the holiness and permanence of marriage, and he warns against divorce.
Marriage reflects God's unchanging and faithful love between Jesus and the Church. The relationship between Jesus and the church is a covenant relationship (Eph.5:22-23).
Marriage is sacred. For God, it is so important that He put it in the category of a covenant. Is your marriage for you a lifelong covenant? Do you live accordingly?
