Daily Prayers for My Childrenਨਮੂਨਾ

"As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;" (Psalm 103:13, NIV).

Dear Lord,

Thank you for your compassion towards me and my child(ren). Teach me to honour, reverence and fear You in my parenting. I pray that You would use me to show my child(ren) unconditional love and safety. Help me to reflect the same love You have for me onto my child(ren). Teach my child(ren) to have reverence for You. I pray that they stand out amongst their peers as one who chooses to do what is right in Your sight. I thank You, Lord, that my child(ren) is a good decision-maker. Lord, let my child(ren)'s decisions reflect the honour they have for You and the godly fear they have of You. Lead them on a path to righteousness for Your name's sake.

In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Challenge: Pause for a moment. Ask God to bring to your remembrance any areas where you have not shown compassion towards your child(ren). Allow Him to show you. Ask for forgiveness and then ask for wisdom on how to demonstrate more compassion towards your child(ren).
