Advent: Waiting on God's Promisesਨਮੂਨਾ

Holding onto hope as we wait...
As we wait in challenging seasons, we know the truth and understand that God loves us, but when things are hard, holding fast to God’s word can be tough.
David understood what it was like - he was anointed by Samuel to be king – he was persecuted and at times fled for his life – but he would strengthen himself in the Lord and hold fast to what He had said. The Psalms are full of David’s cries in times of trouble.
Psalm 27 shows us David’s heart posture in light of this opposition.
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 27:13-14
Take a moment to wait on the Lord. Ask Him to show you if there is any area in your life where you may have lost sight of His goodness. Ask the Lord to help you to keep your confidence in Him.
Prayer
"Lord, help us to remain confident that we will see your goodness in the land of the living. Lord, we wait for you. Help us to be strong and take heart and wait for you, Amen."
