We all have a point where we know it’s time to turn back. A feeling we get when we go beyond what we know is right and enter an area where our next decisions take us farther and farther down a road we don’t want to go. And even if it didn’t feel like it at the moment, we can look back and see the place where we could have made a different decision than giving in to temptation. It’s in times like this that we can remember we can always turn back. Nothing will take us so far from God that He can’t provide us a way back to Him. But when we’re at the point where we know we’re reaching our limits, there’s always something we can do.
Today, spend some time creating a plan for yourself for when you find yourself tempted to your breaking point. Is there a person you can reach out to, a leader you trust, or a place you can go?

About this Plan

We all have to deal with temptation at some point in our lives. Why does it have a hold on us and what can we do to break it? We’ll read what God says about temptation to see that while we each have temptations of our own, we never have to go through the struggles alone. Even when we’re faced with tempting thoughts, there is always a way through.
