Christmas Reading Planਨਮੂਨਾ

Luke chapter two is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. Can you imagine being a shepherd just tending to your sheep on an average night when suddenly an angel was standing in front of you to give you the incredible news that the long-awaited Messiah had just been born?! Then thousands more angels appeared in the sky and started praising God! What a sight that must have been.
These things really happened; they aren’t just some story! Everyone knew the Messiah was going to come but no one knew when. I want to take a break from our Christmas messages to remind you that Jesus is coming again. And, just like in the Christmas story, He will come in an instant at a time no one knows. It is imperative that you are ready and waiting for Him. The Bible says to be alert, have self-control, show faith, love, and hope, encourage one another, give each other strength, and share the good news.
What a glorious day that will be for Christians and I pray I am alive to witness it!
Are you ready for that day? I encourage you to take a few minutes and read Luke 2 but also to read one of the other verses that remind us that God loves each of us and gave us the most special gift of all when Jesus was born!
