7 Prayers to Start the New Yearਨਮੂਨਾ

Psalm 23: 1-3 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.”
God, sometimes we can feel so exhausted, overwhelmed, and even torn, but we know that you long for us to rest in your presence. We pray against chaos and confusion, and we pray for clarity and peace. We pray to create a life where we have patterns of rest so our spirit is renewed. We pray that our priority is you, not competition with others or keeping up with what we see on social media. We know you are real and constant, and you created us to need rest. You will lead us along the righteous paths. Therefore, we pray for your leadership over our lives so we know when it is time to work, rest, retreat, and endure. Thank you for caring about us enough to lead us in rest; we love you, amen.
This week, carve out time to rest with God. This time does not need to have any goals or specific outcomes. It can simply be you resting with God and filling your cup.

About this Plan

Looking for ways to center your new year around God? These prayers are written to help the reader become intentional about their walk. Many great things can happen this year, but if we do not use this time to grow closer to God, our practices won’t align with what he has designed. Start the new year with the Lord to shape the direction of your life and goals.
