Twenty Five Days of Christmas Devotionsਨਮੂਨਾ

Joseph had gone to sleep with a heavy heart. He had discovered that his fiancée Mary was pregnant, though she claimed that she was still a virgin. It was at that time when an angel appeared to him in a dream commanding him to take Mary to be his wife. If he accepted Mary as his wife, people would surely accuse him of fornication. His life could be ruined forever. Yet despite these fears, He obeyed the word of God, for he feared God more than he feared man.
Has the fear of people and what they may say and think about you stopped you from doing the things that God wants you to do? There would have been hundreds of sons of David that God could have chosen to fulfil His prophecy regarding the Messiah. But He chose Joseph, the one who humbled himself and was obedient to His every word no matter the cost.
