When people become numb, they also lack energy. All of their strength has been spent on just trying to barely make it through the day. Things that require little to no effort from one person becomes a task for another. Getting out of bed is difficult. Smiling seems impossible. Communication is almost non-existent. The idea of making an effort to do anything at all just drains you.

The Spirit of God is not an abstract concept that does not have physical manifestation. According to scripture, the Holy Spirit has the capacity to affect things in the spiritual realm, as well as in the physical realm. He has the capacity to give you the energy to accomplish tasks that may seem overwhelming to you at the moment.

Take some time out daily to speak to Him. Ask for both His spiritual strength as well as the physical strength to carry on through life. There is no point of weakness where the Spirit of the Lord can not meet you. Let Him be your driving force today.
