7 Key Points of the Gospel (Taken From Paul’s Letter to the Romans)ਨਮੂਨਾ

Key point 5: Only Jesus can redeem us
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24)
We saw yesterday that people are inherently evil. They are guilty of all kinds of sin and their relationship to each other and to the Lord God is not right. There is no harmony. This raises the question of how to make up for this guilt and overcome wickedness. Some people try to do this through strict morality. Others try to compensate for their shortcomings by doing something good. But our guilt is so all-encompassing we fail to overcome the evil in our hearts. We are trapped in sin. We need outside help.
Jesus Christ offers us the help we need. Free of charge. But we must surrender ourselves completely to Him and cease all our own efforts. Salvation is a gift. It is not an accomplishment.
It can be quite difficult to admit our inability to save ourselves. This hurts our pride significantly! But it is also very liberating to realize that the Lord Jesus has already done everything for us. All we can do is gratefully accept His gift.
Are you willing to admit that you need outside help? Have you already accepted God's gift of salvation? What can help you to receive it?
