Worth Sharingਨਮੂਨਾ

What is your most prized possession?
We all have that one item we simply cannot live without. You know which one I'm talking about. It's the item that comes to mind first when you think of what you'd want most if you were stranded on a desert island.
For some of us, it might be our phone, our favorite stuffed animal, or even a picture of a friend or family member who is no longer with us.
While each of us has physical items we cherish, the Bible tells us there's an entirely new layer to the conversation when we give our lives to Jesus.
Our Scripture today was written by the apostle Paul, one of the first Early Church leaders. At the time he wrote Philippians, he was coming to the end of his life, and in this passage, we read he was evaluating everything he ever did, everything he ever said, in every place he'd ever been. He thought about all of his accomplishments and what the world would consider his successes, but then he revealed his prized possession--knowing Jesus.
Paul was so overcome with gratitude when he thought about how Jesus had transformed his life. Nothing and no one else compared to his friendship with Jesus. Because he was so grateful for Jesus, he couldn't help but share his faith with others.
As we continue to open ourselves up to the work of Jesus in our lives, we will be transformed. When our friendship with Jesus deepens, we can't help but talk about Him.

About this Plan

For the next four weeks, we'll follow the story of Samuel to see how God called him to share his faith through his words and actions. We'll discover how God invites us to share the Good News, see why sharing the Good News should start with prayer, explore what to do when sharing the Good News sometimes requires risk, and see how sharing the Good News can happen every day.
