The Promise of Christmasਨਮੂਨਾ

The weeks leading up to Christmas can be filled with great things like joy, anticipation, and excitement. But the reality is they can also be filled with things that aren’t so great, like family stress, tight budgets, and the heavy weight of high expectations for the season. Those things don’t feel all that peaceful, do they? They make Christmas feel a little more like conflict and stress! It makes it feel like something we have to endure or get through.
As today’s verse reminds us, when we face the disappointment and discouragement that may come with the Christmas season, we can remember that we have all we need to overcome them: love. Jesus’ deep love for us covers everything in our lives. Every stress, every struggle, every worry, every doubt, every mistake, every expectation—love covers it all. So, anytime you feel stressed out, overwhelmed, or simply struggling to make it through the holiday season, you can lean on the love of Jesus to get you through.
To help you remember this truth, pray that God will fill you with His love this season. Ask Him to remind you of His love and how it can cover everything in your life. Let that be the only expectation you set this season: to be covered in the love of God!

About this Plan

The birth of Jesus isn’t just a great story; it’s a real event that shows us not just how God loves us but how God’s people (just like us) had to learn to trust in the face of incredibly difficult and, at times, unbelievable circumstances. We’ll be reminded of the humanity in the story and the faith it takes to believe in the promise of Christmas!
