Not Okayਨਮੂਨਾ

If you've ever played baseball or even just have a general idea of the game, you know the one rule for making sure you hit the ball when you're up to bat. Whether it's a parent teaching you how to play tee ball or a coach in the major leagues, they'll all tell you the same thing: "Keep your eye on the ball."
If only it were that easy, right? Like, if playing baseball was as simple as just keeping your eye on the ball, then we'd all be pretty good at baseball. But it's just not that easy.
Sometimes, that's how it sounds when people tell you to trust God with your worries and concerns. Sure, it sounds like good advice. But just like how "keep your eye on the ball" isn't as easy as it sounds, "trust God" isn't all that easy, either. How do we actually focus on Jesus when we're stressed out?
In the Bible, Paul understands that "trusting Jesus" isn't always as easy as it sounds. And in Philippians, he actually gives us a step-by-step process for what that might look like.
According to him, the first thing we need to do when it comes to trusting God is to start by telling God what we're worried about. When we bring our concerns to God, we're promised a peace that is stronger than all of our stress and worries combined. "Trust God" isn't a magic spell to make it all go away, but it is a first step towards overcoming our worries.

About this Plan

We'll look at four major stressors we all deal with and see how God's words can give us comfort, guidance, and help with each of them. We'll talk about what Jesus offers you when you're not okay, what God wants you to know when people reject you, what to do when it's not easy to do what's right, and when we feel worried, we'll see what God has to say.
