- In these passages, Jesus is preaching about the true meaning and cost of discipleship. How does He describe discipleship?
- In verse 34, Jesus introduces the idea of self-denial. He’s not talking about this in the sense that we would deny ourselves of some THING. Jesus teaches that self-denial means that we become more aware of Christ and less aware of OURSELVES.
